They eye doctor said the previous doctors did a good job, by saving her
eye. Others might have taken it out. But he wouldn't do more surgery
and warned against it becuase it could make things worse. Cause her to
lose the eye. AFAICT the injury -- someone shot at her and part of her
glasses went into her eye-- went beyond the lens and to the cornea. This
guy specializes not just in eyes but in corneas. And her good eye is
not all that good either, because of age. Things are distorted with only
one eye. For examples, she can't see curbs and is afraid she'll trip,
and she sees the trees along the road as closer than they are and about
to hit her. And she's afraid she'll be totally blind. I didn't know
what to say to make her feel better.
