As a research physicist by training, profession and inclination I needed to
read no further. I now know that I can safely disregard anything you write.
But I'm in awe of your inventive abilities.
I have a college degree. You do not.
Well now! That is a very dogmatic assertion, made out of total ignorance.
In actual fact, I have a BA and a DPhil in Physics at Oxford. (That is the
Oxford equivalent of PhD at most universities).
He won't believe you in the same way he didn't believe me.
And I can prove it, naturally.
I offered to do a show-and-tell with him with my PhD certificate if he was
willing to show his college "degrees". He chickened out.
But it would be better, since you are who
you are, for you to look it up for yourself.
But perhaps you do not regard Oxford as a proper college?
Depends which one(s) you were in ;-)
Keble. But that is really only significant as an undergraduate, and then
only from a tutorial point of view. Lectures, practical work were
university matters. Post graduate work was pretty much independent of
college, far more on your supervisor.
Old John.
