Recycled to what? I'm suspicious that electronics recycling is one of
those feel good programs. Years ago there was a guy that ran a business
out of his basement for electronics components. His recycling technique
was crude but effective. He'd toss a printed circuit board on the gas
grill until it was toasty, turn it over, and strike it sharply on the rim
of a barrel so the components would fall off. I doubt that could be
effective with SMC and many custom unmarked ICs. What do you do with a CRT
other than a controlled implosion a little more sophisticated than
shooting with a .22?
