Yeah, the sheer number of KDE dependecies can be a lot sometimes.

If it looks messy on Ubuntu I put it on the Fedora box.
If you are using KDE, you can add any program which comes with it. Some
of their programs are pretty good in fact. For example, before using
slrn, I used knode which was a good GUI to read newsgroups.
But if you don't have KDE, you need to install it before being able to
use any of its programs. Which is a no-go for me.
