Ok, got it at last.
Then they should not have used the notion of implication ("IMP") right between A and B.
Correct choices would be an abbreviation of one of these phrases:
- Could it be that (CIBT)
- Would it logically allow (WILA)
- is it possible that (IIPT)
- concurrent with (CW)
I would prefer the CW of course, for brevity and yet enough transparency.
In other words, we must use the notion of _concurrence_, and not _implication_. Somebody fucked the wording of it up.
The notion of implication comes _after_ A IMP B =, not between A and B!
So I bet nowhere in math the word "implication" has been used for it except at the very last result. So you've got to be careful what math symbols you are using in explaining it.
Hmm... No! Hahhahahh :-))
See, I'm never in usenet when I want to sit and concentrate. I use usenet to rest. I've got a ton of stuff to do every day (mostly just chores) and it makes me tired and I have to sit and rest several times a day. That's when usenet comes in.
In this topic that we were discussing, I hadn't even paid close attention to the word "implication". Now that I'm looking more carefully, I see that it is better than "concurrence" for use in that type of operation. Concurrence leaves everything to the mind of the programmer. Nothing shared in some form, be it just an abbreviation, with the programming language; while, implication is both concurrence and a suggestion that some logical relation exists in the background between A and B. So the latter is better.
In my haste, I was mistaking the meaning of "it implicates" with that of "it necessitates." That's why I wanted to avoid it.
After all, it is my dick that posts to COLA :) You don't believe that? Ask ChrisV. He has dealt with it.
