Back then, I called my text editor "j";
I don't remember who wrote it, maybe WordPerfect.
There is a reason Vim is called vi improved. The first release was in
1991. In 1982 I was probably using the WordStar that came bundled with the
Osborne 1. In '85 I switched to Brief on MS-DOS. Borland bought Brief and
buried it.
