What root would that be? Why is Maryam mentioned so frequently, with even
a surah named after her? That's in the Meccan surat isn't it, some of the

Now had you said the Zoroastrians came from a different root and may have
influenced the Jews and Christians I would have agreed. However what's
left of them are the Parsis (Persians) in India. They got out of Persian
when the Moslems arrived.
