You haven't lived until you've dealt with a clean build that first
processes a number of ddl files that result in required .h files and then
use rpcgen on .x files that again create .h files as well as three .c
stubs for the XDR code, the server side stub, and the client side stub.
then you can get down to the .c files, some of which will have -D macro
flag to create different versions of the executables.
