How much should a GUI cost, in terms of program size.
How much is my GUI:
[~]# ls -l /usr/bin/Xorg
-rws--x--x 1 root root 2245080 Jul 29 2023 /usr/bin/Xorg
[~]# ls -l /usr/local/bin/fvwm3
-rwxr-xr-x 1 root root 876552 May 1 07:13 /usr/local/bin/fvwm3
Total: 3121632 bytes or approx. 3.1 Mb.
3.1 Mb! Holy shiite!
Yes indeed. My entire GUI is supported by only 3.1 Mb of code.
Mainline distros likely can't do any more with 3.1 GIGABYTES.
Brother, if you aren't rolling your own, your head is in desperate
need of a cat scan.
Ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha!
