Faculty's participation in anti-genocide demo was to this point just sporadic and depended on the individual choices, but now after seeing what these students and faculty faced (including getting clubbed to pulp by undercover police and other security agents) it's gotten into the main bulk of them. All of them are now protesting this crap. So this regime's police has to close the universities themselves to stop this.
The 750 empires don't need them much anyway. They'd been more and more a show rather than necessity. AI and the present endless supplies of scientists and "engineers" from India and America's own Chinese factions is more than enough to sustain all those 750 empires.
Realities that 30 years ago I was pointing at, right here in physics forum, are just now showing themselves to everybody to see.
I saw them first in the second part of 1980, and I wasn't alone. At least 6 other PhD students who were just about done, quit school like I did. We did that independently, on our own. Such decisions are extremely personal and I might add, daring. You don't do it in some form of group manner.
So that picture is nothing new, it's been there, hidden to many, for decades. It really began to become the new USA from Reagan's administration. Those Nazis!
