It's a shameless clone of the superior CPU-Z for Windows, which is also

First he bitches about Linux not having some goddam Windoze app,
then he bitches when someone ports very similar functionality to Linux.

processor has 8 cores (it has 6).

I used HyperV in a CASP (CompTIA Advanced Security Practioner) class;
the instructor had us running Kali Linux in it.

At work, there was talk about the Corp mandating HyperV, so I used it for
awhile.  I hurried back to VirtualBox. I'm sure it's fine for certain use
cases.
