Ah, see, you don’t understand what you are saying. Everything is
“copyrighted”--unless the copyright has expired, then it’s in the “public
domain”.

In her case, she was free to show pirated movies.
Nobody is “free to show pirated movies”, unless they are sure they won’t
be caught. “Pirated” means “violating copyright”.
