By refusing to refer to a man who claims to be a woman as "she", for
example.  Or by refusing to tell people my pronouns, when it couldn't
be more obvious.  I'm just glad that it's never come up in my life,

I'm trying to figure why it even matters. So they can claim two checkmarks
in the ethnicity list, like Kamala's Indian and black (and white)?

Why not "white, non-Italian" or "white, non-Scandinavian," or...?
