I did that upgrade after the switch to Linux.
 Cheap, but it is just a 0.5TB ... I'd be more inclined to suggest the $90 for 2TB version on that same page.
 FWIW, one that I'm looking at is a 4TB NVMe w/heatsink for $290:

 Its to replace a pair of old 2TB SATA SSDs that are getting close to end-of-life.  Fast as a RAID0 in its day, but NVMe today is better.
There is no point in it being even 1 TB.  Just that I can install some apps on it and test it.
