There is a good chance that the most productive community members are
actually conservatives. Nevertheless, they are surrounded by progressive
freeloaders who aren't content with getting something for free; they
demand total control of the people and organizations behind that
software.
Are the conservatives not able to resist such demands? You think there
should be some kind of explicit policy to help them, by including a
diversity of political opinions in Free Software projects?
Sounds like a pretty “woke” idea ...
