That's the reason many of us are so used to vi.
The customer always had that, at least.

    Note : I actually REMOVE 'vi' and friends from my
   boxes so it won't even be TEMPTED to run  :-)
 

If you had employed me or any of my fellow contractors, that would have increased costs by 30%   - or100% if all there was was Emacs.
