Is there more that requires the terminal with Linux?  Yes.  But if you
want a simple machine, Web/email/office, Linux is easy as pie.

  I multitask, checking Usenet is one of the things in rotation, that's
why I pay for Newshosting, Eternal September is sluggish, which is OK
since it's free, but I have access that performs.
