That’s quite a substantial discount, which makes the Linux option
even more attractive.

 
That's cool.  I don't know if I've ever seen that kind of clear
upcharge for Windows, before.

Dell has been doing this for a while on some machines. On higher end
machines Red Hat with support is also available.
