Wrong. Once again. Wayland destroys nothing. The programs still work
on X11. And the number of programs which doesn't run on wayland is
far from being huge. There are tens of thousands of programs that run
on Linux. Only a few dozen of them can't run on neither natively on
wayland nor with the help of xwayland. The only programs that don't
run on wayland are the one that want to take information from other
programs the wrong way. In which you can include screenshots.

I am just dipping my toes back into desktop Linux after a few years of
very little usage. Happy to see there has been progress.

 
This is snit playing the good cop, new user. It is crafted
to suck people into wanting to help out a new or outdated
Linux user.
 

From what I have read,
Wayland is more secure, easier to maintain, allows for smoother
graphics, has better support for modern monitors, gives more choice (in
things like options per window instead of the whole system), etc.

 
Here is where snit pretends he is just finding out
information regarding Wayland. This statement is a clever
method to pick a side of the debate in order to get people
on the other side of the debate, in this case those who
don't like Wayland, to chime in and start to troll fest
going.
 

 
Not sure what specific things would jump out at me using one over the

Driving home the above with a vague statement. It's
crafted so that both sides begin arguing while snit sits
back and stokes the flames.

LOL! Ouch! But true... the US has gone utterly insane. There are some
who say the election was rigged -- but even if true (and I am NOT
convinced) -- a huge percentage of our population is STILL supporting a
fascist oligarch pushing echoes of Nazi Germany. It is horrid and
getting worse.

 
The last paragraph is where snit comments on an unrelated,
volatile topic as a last ditch attempt to suck people into
the troll who may not care about Wayland but are
politically minded.
 
Don't fall for snit's games.

:) Nice post. I was curious to see how long Snit could play some people
before someone who knows better gave them a heads up...

Now i'm curious to see how many of them will choose to learn the hard way?
