Indeed. That's why the Mayan Empire, the Aztec Empire, The Roman Empire, the Mongol Empire, and the Islamic caliphate, along with the Ming dynasty are still with us and the Bronze Age collapse simply never happened.
Oh but they are. Today they are called mexicans, italians, greek, arabians etc. and from a material and quality of life point of view, they've never had it better.
Those that fail to learn the lessons of history are doomed to repeat it.
