They won't. As robots increase, prices will decrease, initially we'll
absorb that with the 6 day work week, then the 4 day work week, then the 3
day work week.
 

With all the automation we have now, Americans work harder than the average
Roman or mediaeval townsman.

In parallel we need to up research when it comes to positive psychology,
and people expectations will also adapt. I sent another post outlining
some professions that will also, always be present.

Most of those require a skill or level of intelligence the average worker
doesn’t have. Drinking beer, smoking pot, and getting into trouble is
likely to be the major occupation of most people.
