And if I might interject, I am a 24-year old who has not that long ago started learning the UXN (https://wiki.xxiivv.com/site/uxn.html) system. While it isn't a bare-metal FORTH, targetting a virtual machine, in terms of learning about FORTHs, I think it qualifies.
And if I don't qualify as a "young kid", well, I have a 13-year-old brother, who has also started learning the language.
