Ah, but the lesson to be learned involves centralized planning. And who
would do such planning, if not the Government? But isn’t that how
Communism works?
Antitrust. If there’s a single source, or only one or two sources of
something, it’s a monopoly. Break it up. Provide tax benefits for
competitors to locate in other parts of the country.
