Simple is good. Which is why I walk to the mailbox. That's my problem. I
can think up all sorts of complex solutions involving MCUs but then I ask
myself why bother? I could use a system like that to detect when the cat
wants to come in but she has learned to knock. Problem solved. I could
have a remote device measuring temperature, humidity, barometric pressure,
light intensity, wind speed, and so forth that would come up on the WiFi
as a web server so I could browse to it but walking out on the deck works
too.
