It all started with the socialists. a guy called Tony Blair. The one who took the country to war in Iraq based on deliberately falsified information.
He told people that since in general graduates made more money than people who left school at 16 or 18, everybody should go to university and they would thereby all make more money.
Even with degrees in media and cartoon making.
And people actually believed this shite.
I see a similar level of magical thinking emanating from king Donald. In respect of his 'big bootiful tariffs'
As well as a level of jingoism that I haven't seen before.
