I'm ignorant as to the difference between a "bimmer" and a "beemer" so
maybe you can explain it to me.  Why don't people just say BMW?  It's

I'll explain:
 
Arlen tried to make a meal out of the fact that I own a BMW (2012 135i M
Sport Edition in Lemans Blue to be precise) and didn't know
that--according to him--one of those terms is use to refer to BMW
motorcycles and the other for BMW cars.
 
And from that he tried to claim that:
 
1. I couldn't possibly own one.
 
2. That I could possibly be a racing driver and road racing instructor.

Making an epistemic point here it is often the case those who have a
knowledgable grounding in various topics exhibit some humility toward such
topics. Those lacking a modicum of knowledge are quite braggadocious. Arlen
obviously exhibits a pathological conceit of knowledge most anyone can
recognize on the spot, except himself. Arlen lacks reflective
self-awareness and the result is what we witness on a daily basis on
usenet.
