One of the problems with Apple's "dumb terminal" design of millions of
users logging into Apple servers at any given microsecond, is that when the
network to the matrix goes down, everything stops working.
 Which happened today.

a number of other Apple services as well. A number of users flocked to Down
Detector to report issues with iCloud.
 The outage prevented people from accessing services connected to iCloud

 A quick glance at the Apple Status page revealed a mix of products went
down, including iCloud Web Apps, Find My, Photos, and more.
 While reports slowed down from an initial peak of around 900 at 12:30 p.m.
Pacific, it was a steady decline. And the Apple status page didn't
officially return to normal until around 4:15 p.m. Pacific.
 The outage lasted for just over 5 hours."
 Let's see how the Apple trolls claim that the iOS device is not a dumb
terminal in light of what happened today - which is fact they can't deny.
