I've reported in the past on people keeping their cellphones on while
committing crimes (where most seem to be on iPhones, not surprisingly).

Today Kohlberger (we only know he was on AT&T) agreed to plead guilty.

His phone pings were instrumental in the evidence supplied publicly.

In addition, there's the "red iPhone" NJ case, where the iPhone tracked the
murderers going back and forth from NY to NJ to exactly the crime scenes.

"Snyder said he initiated the stop and ended up detaining Mellish,
taking and later processing Mellish's red Apple iPhone for evidence."

Now there's the Idaho firefighter murder case to look at & learn from.

"At around 3:15 p.m., authorities detected an active cellphone signal
on the mountain that had remained stationary for some time, Norris
   said Sunday."

Who wants to bet this is another dumb (and now dead) iPhone user?
