Windows 11 now on all my laptops

My Dell came with Windows 11. My other 2, 7 and 8 year old HP's, did not. I have been putting off doing the free update hoping that Microsoft would extend full W10 support. Apparently not happening. So this week I finally did the W10-W11 update to both.
Took about 2 hours each, most of which was un-monitored. Both had no issues other than it took a while to download the ISO and process the update. Just answered a few questions, downloaded the ISO file from Microsoft, answered a few more questions, and went about my business. All documents and apps were retained and seem to work fine. Two more perfectly good laptops saved from the landfill, for now.
In contrast, next year Apple is killing off full support for perfectly good Intel Macs right and left. While they will receive security updates, Apple application and OS feature support are not included.
The 2020 MacBook Air and 2020 MacBook Pro with two Thunderbolt 3 ports are already stuck with OS version Tahoe.
Of course there is the possibility that Microsoft will end support for my older laptops. But for now both are perfectly happy running W11. I see no difference in performance either. If things go bad I'll let you know. At worse I'll have to buy affordable replacements.
