At 9 years old, perhaps it's time to start thinking about a replacement. Very good deals available now on m3 and m3pro MacBooks, with the m4 release only weeks away.
I, too, had a 2015 MacBook Pro 15". Very good design at the time, better than the butterfly keyboard models that replaced it. I kept mine for about 6 years, but... time (and technology) marches on...
