before, emulating what anyone would do, it's like the discovery of
ketamine, they didn't really invent or design it, they *found* it.

"emulating what he did before" is NOT starting from scratch.

  The code for NT is original Microsoft.  That is simply not the case
with macOS and Apple, on some level.

A lot of it is pretty much copied from VMS.
And again... ...so what?
There is a very small amount of code in macOS that comes from Mach and BSD...
...and vastly, VASTLY more than is completely original.
