Why, you are already using Face ID to unlock your phone. I don't understand
why you would want to require the same to just open the app.

Added security in case of theft and the thief has managed to shoulder-surf
your screen lock PIN.

iOS 18.2 (or .3) added the functionality that you can add FaceID to any
app.
