SEASON 2 - EPISODE 6 - THE INTERSTELLAR SONG CONTEST
This episode certainly served up a lot to unpack, as Russell Davies
filled this camp space adventure with almost everything imaginable -
except, perhaps, the kitchen sink! There was a nostalgic cameo from a
beloved character in fandom, as well as a surprising twist at the end
that will spark the two main points of discussion among fans. It also
sends an important message leading into the season finale: The Doctor is
not the last of the Time Lords.
Wrong! The message that was sent was that Ncuti Gatwa is a sadistic
vindictive psychopath that enjoys inflicting harm on others,
Wrong! Ncuti Gatwa is an actor who does what the script tells
him to. Nothing more.
He should have said no to it like he did to being the UK Eurovision
spokesperson after the BBC told him to take down his rainbow flag.
We don’t know for certain that was the reason.
and he's not a Time Lord and never was,
That’s right. He’s a human. A human actor, playing the role of
a Time Lord.
He's not human in any way. That aspect of him set up in the TVM was
erased by Chris Chibnall. He's a monster from another dimension.
Chibnall doesn’t have the power to decide the real-life species
of real-life actors.
Well done. You’ve finally got it.
he's the Timeless Child monster!
Looks like I spoke too soon.
First you accused Jodie Whittaker of genocide, now this.
You must really hate the acting profession.
Chibnall and RTD must really hate Doctor Who and the character of the
Doctor in order to destroy it.
They certainly seem to hate your interpretation of Doctor Who and
want to destroy that.
Meanwhile, I’m still trying to figure out how Rylan survives the
end of the world on 24th May. He’ll have to go into suspended
animation some time next week, although after tonight’s results,
I don’t blame him.

What about the hologram of Graham Norton
Could be the space-future equivalent of deepfake.
and at least one recording of Making Your Mind Up
I thought that was non-diegetic.
and the entire history of the Eurovision? How does that escape
destruction?
We already saw that a lot of objects survived (presumably including
Ryman’s suspended animation pod) drifting in space. Maybe some
recordings survived too.
