"Sunday afternoon was warm and sunny all day."?? Hmm!! How
lucky YOU must be, Aggy, cause most places I know of (i.e. THE
REAL WORLD) 'sunday afternoon' ONLY LASTS ABOUT SIX HOURS not
*all day* !!
All day means while the sun is up. The sun did not set until
about 9pmish (just before my original reply) so that would have
been at least 9 hours from 12pm taking in the early evening as
well.

post, i.e. 'afternoon'?? This would, naturally, exclude any
'morning' and 'evening' hours ... so *SIX HOURS* max!!
>
And, as some might refer/have referred to "after five dress"
implying Evening starting at 5p.m., 'afternoon' might last just
FIVE HOURS!!
>
In either case, certainly not 'all day'!!
By the historical definition afternoon is after midday all the way
until just before sunset, and then after sunset it's the proper
evening.
Well Done, Aggy.
Evening is not a fixed construct. It isn't defined by time of day. It's defined by where the sun is.5pm isn't evening when it's still bright all the way till 9pm and inAh!! so as it's currently 5:50p.m. AND IT'S *DARK* OUTSIDE, I'm guessing
fact there's enough light to reed by until 1030pm.
afternoon is over ... well according to YOU!!
So 9 hours and all day sticks.Less than 5:50 STICKS!!
What part of the planet are you living on? It's been summer since the beginning of June.Night is when there isn't enough light to read a book by and in the summerIt's *NOT* Summer NOW, Aggy!!
Stop proving you're a simplistic moron. If the evening (ie. after sunset) is still bright it's counted as day as well as evening. It depends on your latitude and the time of day. Oh look, the last part of that sentence uses the other definition of day. Has that just become too complicated for you now?that depending on the month lasts from about 1000pm to 12am till 0330What's the song ... "Morning has broken"!!
to 0400am when the sun starts to rise again, and that period is called morning.

You probably don't understand the meaning of Day and are mixing it up
with Morning.
Day can include morning, afternoon, evening, and even nightCorrect!!
all at the same time or it can also mean when it's light,Also correct!! Two from Two! Well done!
as opposed to night being when it's dark, with morning, afternoon,Say WHAT?? If it's a bright evening, it's not counted as Day?? Really??
and evening all being counted together as day depending on how bright
evening is.
