which may inadvertently be a Dr Who reference, noted that “Parker”
was dead.

Ah!!"Spoonerised"! I hadn't made that connection.

So the response “Yus, m’lady” was entirely apposite.
 There, I have given the Internet’s biggest idiot a step-by-step clue
