Still reading the Archives .... but thought this might rate a post all
of its own. Back in Jan 1993, in a thread entitled "The Valeyard's TRUE
goals", The Valeyard is raised, you know, the guy The Master says would
appear "between your 12th and last regenerations".

Spur of the moment ..... could (female) JodieDoctor be The Valeyard??

No, hang on, JodieDoctor was as a result of the Eleventh regeneration,
*NOT* the 12th regeneration.

JodieDoctor, in the 12th Regeneration, regenerated into DoctorDavid Mk
2, so could DoctorDavid Mk 2 be The Valeyard??
Ignoring any possible pre-Hartnell Doctors…
0 regenerations: Hartnell
1 regeneration takes us to Troughton
2 regenerations: Pertwee
3 regenerations: Tom
4 regenerations: Davison (“Regeneration?” “Four.” “So there
are five of me now!” from The Five Doctors)
5 regenerations: Colin
6 regenerations: McCoy
7 regenerations: McGann
8 regenerations: the War Doctor
9 regenerations: Eccleston (now regeneration number and
Doctor number are in sync)
10 regenerations: Tennant
11 regenerations: the Metacrisis Doctor (regeneration numbers are
now out of sync the other way)
12 regenerations: Smith
13 regenerations: Capaldi
14 regenerations: Whittaker
15 regenerations: Tennant again
16 regenerations: Gatwa
So “between your 12th and last regenerations” could mean *any*
Doctor after Matt Smith, probably one we haven’t seen yet.
(OTOH I wouldn’t be surprised if the Valeyard actually turns
out to be a pre-Hartnell Doctor from the Timeless Child era!)
Yeap. O.K., well, maybe, sort of!!
I don't count The Meta-crisis Doctor, ... still DoctorDavid!
As we now KNOW there were heaps of Incarnations prior to DoctorBill, yes, the Valeyard could be one of them.
Also, the Archive thread that I started from also made mention of The Watcher who helped DoctorTom to regenerate into DoctorPeter. Maybe The Valeyard full-filled a similar function somewhere along the line!!
