meaningless as it does not reflect the true stats of this group.

No! No! No, Blueshirt, these Gobble-de-gook's 'Stats' post have a hugely important meaning .... to increase his All-Important Precious Post Count!!

Dave wants to prove Usenet isn't dying by showing everyone the stats,
then he edits people's posts out so the stats that he posts are
false?! (Doh!)
