Well, that was a bit of a let-down...
Yup.
Everyone dies... then they don't.
That it would be undone was clear the moment Donna's daughter was turned
to dust.
The powerful God of Death is defeated in five minutes... by a
spoon and tow rope!
When the Doctor held up the spoon saying he'd defeat Sutekh with it, I
was reminded of Riddick killing someone with a teacup.
And what's with the Doctor and his stupid announcements/speeches? He's
still missing the brilliant part. And the energy, urgency.
Bringing death to death = Life. (Huh?)
I can even follow that reasoning.
Ruby finds her mother... and she's normal!!! (Well, there's
always a twist at the end, right?)
Lame though. And what about the snow? They forgot about that.
And the explanation for the pointing made no sense at all.
Ruby says goodbye... but appears in a 'Sneak Peek' for a future
episode in last night's "Doctor Who:Unleashed".
I like Ruby.
Mrs Flood breaks the Fourth Wall, again.
She said the Doctor is a clever boy. So she's Clara, but didn't
recognize the TARDIS on sight?
Didn't the Doctor forget about Clara, or Clara about the Doctor, or
something? Didn't she whizz off with someone in someone else's TARDIS?
All in all, a typical RTD season finale. Nothing makes a lot of
sense and the big bad is defeated very quickly after a big build
up, leaving more time for family chit-chat and tearful emotional
goodbyes of course.
Didn't seem typical. But yea, nothing makes much sense.
Clearly there are still questions left to be answered after this
season... Mrs Flood, the snow (etc.) plus we all know Ruby's
story hasn't been fully told yet...
What's there beside the snow?
Looking back I've probably overrated a couple of episodes and I
will amend them at some stage now that I can view S1/S14 as a
whole... so bearing in mind that, "Empire of Death" gets a 5/10
from me.
Yeah, 5/10, I agree.
