Lame though. And what about the snow? They forgot about that.

They could’ve added a quick line that the snow is probably a
lingering side effect of the paradox when the goblins took baby
Ruby. That would’ve worked.

And the explanation for the pointing made no sense at all.

In my personal headcanon, the Doctor was mistaken. She was
pointing past him but not to the lamppost. It was to the church
hoping he would go there and find the baby. (After all, she
didn’t know when the vicar would look out, so might as well
let someone else know too.)

Mrs Flood breaks the Fourth Wall, again.

She said the Doctor is a clever boy. So she's Clara, but didn't
recognize the TARDIS on sight?

Maybe one of Clara’s duplicate fragments. (That would also
explain how she aged, which Clara can’t do any more.)

Didn't the Doctor forget about Clara, or Clara about the Doctor, or
something?

He forgot about her, but recovered his memories later.

Didn't she whizz off with someone in someone else's TARDIS?

With the immortal Ashildr in a TARDIS that looks like an American
diner.
