RTD was always going to do what he does best... nothing about
S1/S14 has been a surprise from that POV. He is a better
Producer than writer of "Doctor Who" (IMO). Two of the better
stories from this season were not even written by RTD. So no
surprise there.
I partly guessed the finale would be a damp squib after the
build-up the previous week. It's what RTD does... but this
season of "Doctor Who" has still been more entertaining than the
last couple of seasons under Chris Chibnall.
