Do you seriously think the cinema managers counted
everyone actually sitting there through the whole
performance and sent the stats back to the BBC? It counts
as a full house because the BBC bought all the tickets
even when completely empty.

Do you seriously think the two guys (and their mates) that
Solar Penguin posted links for WERE NOT ACTUALLY IN THE
CINEMAS??   [corrected]

That was not my question. Did the cinema managers actually
count everyone sitting in the seats. Yes or No?
That would not be normal behaviour for a manager at a cinema
complex now would it? Their booking system would tell them how
many tickets they had sold, be it online in advance or on the
day through the tills.

Their bookings system would tell them they had sold the entire hall and all the seats in it to the BBC. So it counts as a full house even if it's empty. When royalties are paid to the actors it's for the full capacity. You don't get a refund if there are empty seats. This is how the system works. It's the same when books are sold in book shops. It counts as all the books the retailer orders as being sold and full royalties are paid even if not a single book is sold to the public.

Mangers manage, they don't go around counting people in seats. So
obviously the answer to your question is, no they did not.
Correct.
Cinema attendance is counted on the basis of seating capacity of the theatre not on how many people are actually seated. There is no count ever made. The cinema is booked for a certain number of weeks by either the studio or the management based on what they think the attendance will be. If the manager thinks no one will attend in the second week then the theatre is only booked for a week or a number of days, and a full house is counted for every room booked even it not one single person buys a ticket. That's how the media knows what the takings are even before the film has been shown.
It's all a con. No one has to buy a single ticket and it will still count as a full house. When the cinema managers or studios fuck it up in the first week it might still take a month or up to three months to cancel room bookings if they can still be cancelled. Normally they can't so the cinema takes a loss and tries to cover it up by double booking the same room for another movie. So people can't even buy tickets or go to watch the original movie because the cinema is showing a different one that's actually selling tickets, but it still counts as a full house for the original movie despite it being totally impossible for anyone to watch that movie. That's how Captain Marvel made a billion dollars despite every one that went to see it reporting almost completely empty theatres. Disney bought up all the rooms or the theatre managers were conned into booking them for the movie and they all lost money because they were all empty.

Bit hard to give reviews of programs they haven't actually
watched .....  Oh, but hang on, YOU, Aggy, are always doing
that, aren't you .... for  our benefit, of course!!

Anyone could watch the episodes at midnight on iPlayer.
Which is why the the BBC distributing the Doctor Who season
finale through cinema chains was about allowing people to see
Doctor Who on a big screen and not a made-up stunt like you
It was nothing more than a publicity stunt.

claim it was. As why would the BBC bother doing something that
might take away from their online iPlayer views?

No one watches anything on iPlayer. I already explained that to you. In fact it is in the BBC own interests that no one watches because then they don't have to pay for the bandwidth used because none is.

Do you understand that this is how the statistics are
always all fiddled for publicity? The BBC have wasted
licence fee payers' money and should be condemned for it.

No, I thought YOU, Aggy, were supplying us with all the
Stats we needed!!

Which I have done. No one watches Doctor Whoke except to hate
on it.
Says Mr Negative, who spends all of his time here hating on
Doctor Who in every post he makes, and who watches YouTube
Doctor Who ended in 2017 so how can I be hating on it?

channels of people who hate on Doctor Who in every video they
make, and hasn't a good word to say about a show that he
professes to be a fan of. Nobody can like everything about
Today's episode of House of the Dragon was a very good episode. The Turkish Detective was all good. No degenerate workery in either of them. In fact the woketards could take lessons from both on how to write properly. Further still they could lean from Turkish culture and fathers should whip their daughters with their belts if they try to behave like whores on the internet.

Doctor Who, but you come across as a guy who hates everything
about everything!

Wrong. See above. There is actually stuff I like. Fallout was good too.

You need to get a life. Being grumpy about absolutely everything
is not a healthy way to be.
What am I grumpy about? House of the Dragon, The Turkish Detective, Fallout, and Reacher all get positive reviews from me.
