It literally is though. You can't suddenly decide that the colour red no longer exists. I'm not a huge fan of Colin Baker's era. Does that mean it's not part of the Doctor Who legacy? No. Just means I don't get my perm on when I'm cosplaying.
I'm betting .... if you were to take a Poll through out Whovia, there would probably be a larger portion that would want to exclude Sylvester from Whovia than any other iteration of The Doctor .... so far!! ;-P
