Watching Doctor Who reruns, and just before is reruns of
ER. Alex Kingston.
Hmm!! Our ABC is doing reruns Doctor Who and ER, too!!
Was Alex Kingston in ER as well??
Yes...Dr. Elizabeth Corday
AH!! Well, there you go!!
Yeah, Alex Kingston was only in ER for a short time... I think
it was something like SEVEN YEARS!
[Spoilers!!!]
Nearly twice that long. She was in ER for 13 years, from 1997 to 2009, 160 episodes in total (according to IMDB.com anyway). That's just three years short of the show's full run - it started in 1994 and ended in 2009.
Of course, ER was a copy-cat of the UK series "Casualty" (started in 1986 and is still going), including copying many of the storylines, but Alex Kingston never appeared in that show.
