I think he means it used to be about an alien who is cool and travels around the universe saving civilisations. Then came the Timeless Child and it became about an alien from another dimension that was repeatedly abused, experimented on, and murdered as a child before being brainwashed by its abuser and turned into a mass murdering monster responsible for the perpetration of genocide by himself and/or others on a universal level - what's there to love?
