It seems Gobble-de-gook can (or, at least, COULD) discuss "Doctor Who" in the Doctor Who newsgroups.
From a thread in the rec.arts.drwho archives, which he called "The female companions who can stand up to the doctor", in Sept 1992, Gobble-de-gook posted ....

It took 24hrs of inspiration for this one.
Some of the more intersting companions are those females who could stand up against the Doctor.
Barabara Wright, & Polly making life interesting for the 1st and 2nd doctors.
Dr. Elizabeth Shaw always taking the Doctor on corcerning science.
Sarah Jane Smith always trying to be the outspoken feminist,
Leela with her razor sharp reactions, Romana always giving trying to patronize the Doctor, Tegan was 50% with her mouth and gutsy attack.
Peri is one to admire. She wouldn't take any flak from the Doc himself.
Ace has the potential of being another antithesis to the Doctor provided they could bring her back.
Love these no nonsense women.

Strangely, for what I think is a fairly reasonable topic, Gobble-de-gook's post got ZERO responses. Maybe everyone, sensible, had him 'Killfiled' by that time!!
