When The Doctor and Companions arrive on some distant Planet and can understand the locals, we instantly blame this on The TARDIS' translation circuits.
I've never thought about this also applying when The TARDIS arrives on Gallifrey as well!!
And this thread is actually about how does the Gallifreian year length compare to the Earth year length.
Do we know if 1000 Gallifreian years is equal to 1000 Earth years??
