As I have already pointed out, if RTD was to retcon the
'Timeless Child' arc in S2/15 it would not make one bit of a
difference to the people who dislike Ncuti Gatwa as the 15th
Doctor, and it would not change any of his story-lines going
forward.
 
Spending too much time on past events is a waste of time for
a show that is trying to move forward in a challenging
environment. The 13th Doctor has gone... it's time to let the
15th Doctor show what he can do without worrying about the
baggage left over from a previous incarnation.

 
It actually would make a big difference.

For me, with the short Doctor Who seasons we get now I'd rather
we had eight episodes of trying to take the 15th Doctor forward
and give him some sort of identity of his own, as opposed to
using his screen time to hark back to a previous Doctor's era.
