Trying NovaBBS. Does feel like 30 year old BBS site, fest in
messages is in courier monospaced and looks like you have to
log in again every time you want to post a message. So I
think this may be a no from me - it makes Google Groups
(RIP) look like high design success.

Yeah, I did look in to it for my new laptop, as XanaNews has
scaling issues on W11... the Nova BBS UI is a bit dated,
although there is an option to change the colours!

Still, NovaBBS would be handy for the likes of Tim - or
others - that can't get to grips with a newsreader. Basic
but simple to use. I haven't tried it on my iPhone yet
though.

When will you get around to it?
Beyond my tests, I probably won't, as I have a workable version
of XanaNews on my W11 laptop, minus the x-face and
spell-checker... I will just need to adjust some fonts/text
sizes later this evening to get it more to my liking now I've
fixed the scaling issue.
I do prefer a newsreader, but an online portal that is not
Google Groups is handy for those that find that sort of thing
easier to use.
I think that (Online Portal) is what Eternal-September's operator, Ray, is tring to set up with .... is it RockLight or something.
