No idea where "4/5 of the audeince left" comes from, but simply moving international viewing to only be available on Disney+ will certainly have decreased the audience numbers. People can't be bothered paying all these different silly streaming services.

It is unlikely to be retconned so fans should just move on.

The *real* fans have moved on ... that's why there is only "1/5" of the audience left watching it.  :-p
