When was the last time you sat through all ten episodes of
"The War Games" Dave? An approximate year will do...
Don't know about Dave, I did it in October - I'm on a slow
run-through of every TV episode (my twice weekly commute
involves 4 90 minute train journeys, so I get through about
12-16 episodes a week). On 6th January, I'll resume my
marathon and finish The Mutants, and will probably pause to
look at this cutdown War Games
I rewatched it all fairly recently in preparation for the edited
version... over a few days though as it was a bit of a slog.
"The War Games" was a story that could have benefited with an
edit, but for me the cut-down version was a bit too cut-down!
The worst cut was losing the whole subplot where the Doctor and
Zoe located and united the separate resistance groups. Without
that, the Doctor was less important to the story. More a passive
observer than a key player.
